Great Tree- Great Price,
My 12yr old daughter fought us teeth and nails about getting a fake Christmas tree after cutting down real ones every year of her life.. with this tree she has finally come around. With all the decorations on it, she can’t tell it apart from any of the old trees we used to cut down, except now we can use all the heavy chrystal ornaments that our old trees couldn’t handle.. and NO needles to pick up.. I love the fact that we don’t need to water anymore.. and it was extremely easy to put together and up.. You will spend some time spreading out the branches.. but you can make it look however you like.. definitely worth the money we spent..

Dittos on “A Real Pain”,
Unfortunately, we placed our order for this product on November 26, and half of what was supposed to be delivered arrived on December 3, one day after BGD posted his/her “A Real Pain” report. (In retrospect, I certainly would not have placed my order had I had the opportunity to read BGD’s review). Like BGD, we only received parts C and D of the tree – there was no stand, no tote bag, no parts A and B, or instructions. By shopping locally, we found a store which had the exact same product (down to the exact same item model number: 81-251-090-01AM), and it turns out that the “missing parts” were in a second box – one of those box 1 of 2 and box 2 of 2 types of orders! Unfortunately, Amazon seemed completely oblivious about the product coming in two boxes; as far as they were concerned, it came in only 1 box and by delivering box 1 of 1, the order was complete. To Amazon’s credit, its customer service department is on top of the situation and is in the process of setting up a return and refund, but it was quite a disappointment to get only half a tree! It was also rather time consuming to get the problem fixed, but I guess that’s the downside of ordering online when you’re dealing with a rather unique product and your counter-party (in this case, Amazon) has limited knowledge and information about it.
I am generally a very satisfied Amazon customer but I am surprised that they were so clueless about this product. It’s a good thing that it is out of stock because this means others will be spared the hassle that BGD and I have had to endure!
